False Eyelash Try on and Review

Hi Loves!

I don’t know about you guys, but I have only recently got into the lash game. Despite doing makeup for years, I have always stuck with mascara to finish off a look (and to be perfectly honest, I have found lashes quite intimidating!). Recently, however, I have decided to branch out and include lashes in more and more of my makeup looks. As far as I’m concerned they have the ability to really add something to a look and take it to the next level.

As such, I went slightly lash mad when Nikkia Joy Cosmetics launched their lashes! NJC is a brand that was started by the youtuber Nikkia Joy (one of my big faves!), the purpose of the brand is to provide lashes that all eye types can wear comfortably. They are all cruelty-free and do not contain any animal ingredients.

I know firsthand how difficult it can be to relate how a lash looks in the box to how it looks on the eye. That is why I have done a try on of all of my lashes from NJC! I will start off with a little bit about my eye shape etc. so that you can get a good idea of whether these styles will also suit you. I have relatively small eyes with a round eye shape and slightly hooded lids, because of my partially hooded lids I often find that nearly all lashes block out my eyeshadow (which is fine when I want it to, but not all the time!) as such I have done my best to take a photo of each style with the eye open and partially closed.

The Natalie Lash

This lash style features a special 3D design with longer wispy hairs in the centre of the band that taper out in volume and length towards the outer corners. This style gives the eye a bright wide-eyed finish without overcrowding the lid space according to the website.

I absolutely loves the flirty look of these lashes! The delicate sides and fluffy centre give the eye a natural lash extension vibe that looks lovely.

The Hannah Lash

This lash style features fluffy, wispy hair fibers in a tapered design for a very soft, flirty look according to the website.

This style provides a more typical false lash look, the very long individual lashes guarantee that they won’t get lost in your eye look and definitely provide you with a distinctive style.

The Charlotte Lash

The Charlotte Lash is the ultimate fluffy, wispy lash for those who love a full & fluffy natural volume according to the website.

This is the only 3D silk style that I have bought but it is beautiful and you can definitely feel the difference in quality! These beauties are so fluttery and wispy that I think they have made it into favourite lash territory. They have such long fluffy lashes that provide a gorgeously romantic look.

convenient 5 pair stack. Perfect for those who love adding extra volume and drama to their eye looks. The Volume Set also includes exclusive lash styles that are not available to be purchased individually. Contains: Nikkia, Zahrah & Chloe single lash styles according to the website.
This set has a variety of more voluminous, dramatic styles. As expected, with very voluminous lashes the bands are slightly thicker than the other styles and do need some rolling around to loosen up.
